Raising Capital From Angels and Venture Capitalists

← Back to Blog | September 10th, 2009 by philipletts | View Comments

Raising money from angel investors or VC’s is a stressful and complicated process - particularly in this climate. It needs to be done at the right time and in the right way. Try and raise money too early or without the right tools or docs and you’re guaranteed to crash and burn. And raising money from wrong-fit investors will come back to bite you later - and HARD.

You need to follow a fund raising process and get advice from people that have raised money before. Either a friendly entrepreneur or friendly investor. But before you do any of that you’ll need a thought out, realistic and enticing business plan. Never forget that investors should be ‘partners’ so choose with care.
